Abbie Jean (Shaffer) Buskirk

Abbie Jean (Shaffer) Buskirk, 88, of DuBois, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, surrounded by her extensive loving family at her residence.

Abbie was born Jan 22, 1930 to Martin Samuel Shaffer and Maggie Mae (Murray) Shaffer. She was born and raised in Brockway, PA with her five brothers and two sisters who all preceded her in death. She was a loving mother to six daughters, Joyce Ward of DuBois, Betty (Tom) Lee of DuBois, Sandra Johnson of DuBois, Debra (Red) Carle of DuBois, Karen (Gabe) Sweka of Sykesville and Nancy Cambell.

She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her youngest daughter Nancy Cambell, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Abbie was a caregiver for many years. She loved reading & keeping track of what her extensive family was doing. She lived most of her life in DuBois.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 4pm until 6pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois
