Anna R. (Hutchins) Himes

Anna R. Himes, 84, Brockway, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Highland View Healthcare. She was born May 10, 1933 on Boones Mt., Brockport, PA; daughter of the late Earl & Cora (McDivitt) Hutchins. Anna was married to George “Ozzie” Himes, whom preceded her in death in “1995”.

Anna was survived by five children Nina (Brian) Lemmon of Brockport, Edgar Bogle of Clarion, Emmett Bogle of Pittsburgh, Rex (Sandra) Bogle of Egg Harbor, NJ and Dennis Himes of Punxsutawney, a brother Leslie “Alex” (Mary) Hutchins of Prosperity, PA, a sister Lucrisha (Elmer) Sheppard of DuBois, a sister-in-law Helen Hutchins of Brockway, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Anna was a graduate of Huston Township High School. She attended several churches in the Brockway & Brockport area. Anna was a member of the Ground Hog CB radio club having a handle of “City Slicker”. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and sewing. She loved visiting friends & family and was always ready to lend a helping hand. During her last years at Highland View Healthcare she welcomed numerous new roommates.

Anna volunteered for the Salvation Army for many years.

In addition to her parents and husband; Anna was also preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Himes, a sister Elsie Brownell, six brothers David, Preston, William, Richard, James and Francis Hutchins and a great-grandson Jonathon Salizzoni.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 12-2 & 4-6 at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow at 6pm at the funeral home with Rev. David Nagele officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Church Cemetery on Boones Mt.
