Edward C. Heller

           Edward C. Heller, 79, DuBois, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.  He was born May 6, 1936 in Brookville, PA. Son of the late Elvin Heller & Leila Delana (Rankin) Heller Holt.

            Edward is survived by six children: Kimberly Dymock of Shippenville, Leila Burdge of Niagara Falls, NY, Edward Heller, jr. of Allen, TX, Gwindolyn McDaniel of Hawthorne, PA, Timothy Heller of Clarion and Terri Hartzell of Knox; two brothers: Robert Heller of Knox and Gordon “Butch” Holt of Brookville; two sisters: Mrs. William (Betty) DeLong of Sabula and Mrs. Terry (Rose) Long of North Huntington and 13 grandchildren.

            Edward had worked in the Maintenance Department at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was a member of the VFW, IP&S and Swede Club all of DuBois and Reynoldsville Eagles.

            Edward was also preceded in death by two brothers: Dean and Elvin “Bub” Heller and two sisters: Ruth Straitiff and infant Sonja Lee Holt.

            Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 1pm until 4pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois. Services will follow at 4pm on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Newell officiating. Burial will take place in Vandervort Cemetery in Summerville.
