Elizabeth Ann (Yeater) Smith

            Elizabeth Ann (Yeater) Smith, 72, Falls Creek, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Highland View Healthcare.  She was born February 1, 1944 in Cameron, WV; daughter of the late Woodrow M. Yeater, Sr and Barbara L. (Fry) Yeater who survives in Cameron WV. She was married to Cornelius James “Butch” Smith who preceded her in death on November 24, 2004.

            She was a 1962 graduate of Cameron High School. She was a member of First Christian Church in Cameron, WV, and the Falls Creek Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #965. She loved the Eagles family and took pride in helping them make a difference in people’s lives. Also she loved spending time with her family and friends coloring and doing sudoku puzzles.

            She is survived by two daughters Margaret Jane Bechtel of Harrisburg and Barbara Jean (Ernie) Porrin of Falls Creek, three sons Cornelius James (Vickie) Smith, III of Jacksonville, Fl, Wesley Joseph (Michelle) Smith of DuBois, and William Jeffrey Smith of Falls Creek, a sister Cris (Jerry) Cunningham of Cameron, WV, two brothers Woodrow M. (Barbara) Yeater, Jr of Cameron, WV and Wesley D. (Carol Ann) Yeater of Glen Easton, WV, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by her father, husband and two brothers Bill and Wally Yeater.

            Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and Saturday from 10-11am at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Bundy officiating. Burial will take place in Beechwoods Cemetery.
