Joyce Ann (Hottel) Thomas

Joyce Ann Thomas, 84, Jefferson Manor, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Lowell Hottel & Helen (Snyder) Hottel-Brown.

Joyce is survived by a daughter Tammy Wadrose of Rochester Mills, a son Richard  and his wife Cheryl Thomas of Punxsutawney, a brother Donald Hottel of Westerville, OH, eight grandchildren, Alayna Thomas of Punxsutawney, Annette Thomas of DuBois, B.J. Thomas of Pittsburgh, Helana Thomas of Georgia, Nicole and husband Oscar Martinez of Birmingham, AL, Nikita Witherow and husband Ralph of Huntsville, AL, Erinne Thomas and Matthew Thomas both of Punxsutawney, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Elk Run Fire Hall Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents; Joyce was also preceded in death by her husband Benjamin J. Thomas, Sr, three sons Benjamin “John”, Douglas and Rodney, three brothers Joseph, Robert and Eugene Hottel and a sister Judith Hottel.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 4 until 7 at the Jefferson County Housing Authority Community Room, 201N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
