Lloyd S. Frantz

Lloyd S. Frantz, 62, Helvetia, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois. He was born December 24, 1954, in N. Tonawanda, NY, the son of Mildred May (Neiswonger) Frantz who survives in Sykesville and the late Henry S. Frantz. He married Gloria G. (Heffner) Frantz on November 16, 1974, she survives in Helvetia.

Lloyd is a “1973” graduate of DuBois High School. In the past he had worked as a truck driver and road maintenance worker for Sandy Twp.

Lloyd loved being with his family. He also loved cooking, playing bingo with his mother, playing cards with his in-laws, and helping anyone he could. He was a member of the Sykesville Eagles, Scrub Masters, and the Sykesville Legion.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is also survived by four children, Kimberly A. Frantz of Helvetia, Kelly Jo (Orville) George of Sykesville, Jessica (David) Cowley of Reynoldsville, and Allen R. Frantz of Luthersburg, two brothers, Jay (Lynn) Frantz of DuBois and Terry (Tami) Frantz of Luthersburg, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, a brother Richey Lee Frantz and a sister Patricia Ann Frantz.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 and on Thursday, from 11am until 1pm, at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville. Services will follow on Thursday, at 1pm at the funeral home.
