Walter E. Nichols

            Walter E. Nichols, 85, Brockway, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 after a short illness. He was born June 30, 1931 in Westville, Pa.; son of the late Dewey & Gladys (Senior) Nichols. He was married to Norma (Carrier) Nichols who survives in Brockway.

           Walter was a corporal in the Army having served from 1948-1952. He had worked with Millwrights and Pile Drivers Local Union #2235 in Pittsburgh.

           Walter attended the Church of God in Brockway. He was a past member of the Masonic Temple in St. Mary’s. He loved automobiles. 

           Walter is also survived by two children Thomas Nichols of Treasure Lake and Colette Cooper of Texas, a sister Helen (Ronald) Bishop of Falls Creek, two brothers Donald Nichols of Warren and Fred (Josephine) Nichols of Westville, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

          Walter was preceded in death by his parents, son David Nichols, grandson Jeffrey Ross and a sister Alice Hoffman. 

            Memorial service will be on Saturday, February 11th at 1pm at the Brockway Church of God (85 Charnisky Dr., Brockway, PA 15824) with Rev. David Nagele officiating.
