Alice I. Desantis, 98, formerly of Brockway, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born October 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Millie (Bish) Bilodeau. She married Amblette “Tony” DeSantis on June 1, 1940, he preceded her in death in “1990”.
Alice was a member of St. Tobias Catholic Church and the Rosary Society in Brockway for many years. She had also previously worked for Curry’s Jewelry Store in Brockway for 18years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, walking and playing golf. Alice was a Girl & Boy Scout leader for many years.
She is survived by one daughter Judy DeBenedicty, Fl, two sisters Mae Yale-Serianni, St. Mary’s and Grace Keech, Kersey, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice is also preceded in death by a son Dennis DeSantis, four sisters, Ruth DePonceau, Rachel Reichard, Francis Strum and Twila Moyer, four brothers, Dolph, LeRoy “Bud”, Leo and John Edward in infancy.
There will be no viewing. A Committal Service was held on Friday, June 5, at St. Tobias Church Cemetery in Brockway with Monsignor Kaza as celebrant. Burial took place in the cemetery beside her husband.
