Gertrude Dee (Sholes) Dodd

Gertrude (Sholes) Dodd, 72, Sabula, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born September 12, 1948 in Berwick the daughter of the late Lincoln & Ora (Carns) Sholes. She married Glenn L. Dodd, he preceded her in death in “2020”.

Gertrude was a graduate of DuBois High School. She owned Dodds Dolls in the mall for many years. She enjoyed collecting dolls, listening to country music, photography and ceramics.

Gertrude leaves behind three sons, Jason (LolaMarie) Dodd of Chambersburg, Jacob (Heather) Dodd of Brookville and Jonathan (Holly) Dodd of Virginia, three sisters, Nary Klementis of CA, Vivian Altman of PA and Harriet (Dallas) Schmidt of DuBois, two brothers, Donald (Jeannie) Sholes of PA and Terry (Betsy) Sholes of CA, and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gertrude was also preceded in death by a son Darian Dodd and a sister Patricia Schreiner.

Visiting will be held on Friday, January 29, from 5 until 7pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will be held on Saturday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
