Larry D. Hinderliter

Larry D. Hinderliter, 87, Rossiter, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Mulberry Healthcare in Punxsutawney. He was born July 16, 1935, in Grange, PA; the son of the late Burton Blair & Arietta Archer (Rugh) Hinderliter.

He graduated from Punxsutawney High School before enlisted in the US Army where he served during the Vietnam Era. After returning home, Larry worked inspecting cars for the Railroad. He loved any sporting event he could watch and he enjoyed going for walks.

Larry leaves behind two daughters Candice Alvetro (Hinderliter) of DuBois and Zina Siverling of Rossiter, a son Duane Hinderliter Sr. of Punxsutawney, a sister Wanda (Edwin) Knarr of Michigan, eight grandchildren Jessica Hinderliter of Erie, Brandi (John) Burdick of DuBois, Duane (Nikki) Hinderliter jr. of Knoxdale, Justin Snelick of DuBois, Amber (Dale) Barrnoff of Punxsutawney, Kie Brown of Rossiter, Drake (fiancé Amber Bogacki) Marie of DuBois and Jayden Lee of DuBois and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by a son Cash Elliott Hinderliter and a brother Donald Hinderliter, a son in law Timothy Siverling.

Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 12-2pm and 4-6pm and Wednesday from 12-1pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. A service will follow on Wednesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Honor Guard from Post #813. Burial will take place in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
