Frances G. "Peg" (DePillo) McAninch

Frances G. “Peg” McAninch, 89, Sykesville, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born January 11, 1928 in Sykesville, the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Damico) DePillo. She married Clifford McAninch on June 5, 1948 in Sykesville. He preceded her in death. 

Peg is survived by three daughters Cathy (Allen) Cable of DuBois, Terri (James) Dobson, Austin, TX, and Lisa (Randy) Grunthaner of St. Mary’s, one son Michael (Kathleen) McAninch of Sykesville, one sister Josephine (Robert) Thompson of Sykesville, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Peg attended Sykesville Area Schools. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of Sykesville. She enjoyed doing work for the church, gardening, growing flowers and spending time with her family. 

Peg is also preceded in death by one brother Tony DePillo and three sisters Mary Ohls, Cele Padgett and Rose Heffner.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10am at the ABVM Catholic Church in Sykesville. Burial will take place in the Church Cemetery.
