Gwendolyn L. (Shaffer) Shadduck

Gwendolyn L. “Gwen” Shadduck, 95, formerly of Penfield and Rossiter, died, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Christ the King Manor after a lengthy illness.

Gwen was born on March 31, 1922, a daughter of the late Levi and Ethel (DeHart) Shaffer.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Bobby, Donald, Harry, Loren, Jimmy, Marlin, Mahlon and Levi Shaffer, Jr.; her sisters, Donna Lou Humble, Dorothy Shaffer and Virginia Shaffer.

Spending most of her life in Penfield and Rossiter, Gwen also had spent some years in Punxsutawney and DuBois.  She was Protestant by faith, a homemaker and loved cooking, her children an all her family.

Gwen is survived by her children, Terry (Lorraine) Shadduck of Reynoldsville, Ronald (Beverly) Shadduck of Penfield, Virginia (Barry) Anderson of Sykesville, Kevin (Marion) Shadduck, Byrnedale, PA and Kim (Tina) Shadduck of Clearfield; and her brothers, Johnny Shaffer of Rossiter, Gordon (Gloria) Shaffer of Rossiter and Virgil Shaffer of Rossiter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 9a.m. until 11a.m., at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home, DuBois, PA.  Funeral services will follow the visitation on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the Lakelawn Memorial Park of Reynoldsville, PA
