Anna May "Andy" (Chesley) Sheriff

            Anna May “Andy” (Chesley) Sheriff, 73, DuBois, passed away Sat. December 31, 2016, at DuBois Nursing Home. She was born January 23, 1943 in Punxsutawney; daughter of the late James A. & Gladys Catherine (Brewer) Chesley. She was married to Ronald Charles Sheriff, sr., he preceded her in death on May 30, 2015.

            Anna was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and attended Indiana Hospital School of Nursing.

            Anna is survived by two sons Richard Heitzenrater and his fiancé Linda Simpson of Punxsutawney and Ronald “Boo” Paul Heitzenrater of Maryland, four grandchildren and four siblings Linda (Gerald) Noerr of Florida, Twins James (Joyce Chesley of Reynoldsville and Janice (Richard) Cappella of Latrobe and Richard Lee “Barbara” of Columbia, SC.

            Anna is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

            There will be no visitation.

            A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois with Father Edward Walk officiating. Praying the Rosary will be at 9:30 at the Church. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Church Cemetery beside her husband.
