Betty Askey Obituary

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Betty June Askey passed away at the age of 91. Betty was born on June 21, 1930 in Sykesville, PA to James and Madeline Shaffer. On February 11, 1955, she married Kenneth Askey. Together they raised three wonderful children. Betty loved listening to Christian gospel groups and loved playing board games with family. A devout Christian woman, she regularly attended Bible studies and church services. She was known for her soft humming and unwavering faith. Betty is preceded by both of her parents, her three brothers, and her husband, Ken. She is survived by her three children, Carol, Robert, and Diane; her sisters Dorothy, Karen, and Sharon; her five grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service for her children and grandchildren will be held in Reynoldsville, PA.
