Bonnie Lee Hoffman, 59, DuBois, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 peacefully at her home.
Bonnie Lee was born March 25, 1956 in Almire, NY. She was the daughter of Margie June (Phillips) Rumsey who survives in Folkston, GA and the late Seth E. Rumsey. She married Robert Lynn Hoffman on July 19, 1975, he survives in DuBois.
Bonnie Lee worked at the Maple Avenue Hospital cafeteria during her high school years and was also a waitress at Keystone Restaurant in her younger years. She was a homemaker and then became a crossing guard for the DuBois School District for 27 years, from which she retired. She was an avid bowler and bowled on many leagues with her friends and family. She also enjoyed beading, knitting and plastic canvas among many other crafts. She was a 49’ers fan and enjoyed watching pro and college football.
Bonnie Lee is also survived by two daughters: Mrs. James (Bonnie Lynn) Kelichner of Stump Creek and Brenda Lee Wingar of DuBois; two sisters: Mrs. Mark (Barbara) Squires of Georgia and Mrs. Kevin (Margie) McMurtrie of Bradford; three brothers: Tom Rumsey of Scranton of Arnie Rumsey of Sayer, and Butch Rumsey of Sayer; four grandchildren: Seth Tomas Kelichner, Evelyn Lee Wingar, Makayla Renee Duttry and Mason David Means.
Bonnie Lee was also preceded in death by a brother: Bill Rumsey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Private services will be held Sunday at 8pm. Burial will take place in Temple Cemetery in Hazen.
