Clarence Ruskin Mowrey, 62, DuBois, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois. Born February 26, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, he is a son of the late Edward & Julia (Price) Mowrey.
Clarence leaves behind three daughters Nina (Michael) Snyder, Reynoldsville, Crystal (Eric) Lenherr, DuBois and Samii Brezenski (Eric) Courteau of Falls Creek, three brothers Edward “Buzz” (Norma) Mowrey, Texas Johnny Mowrey & David Mowrey both of North Carolina and seven grandchildren.
“Padre” loved spending time with his buddy Nina, he loved living life to the fullest and was a proud papa. He was the kind of man who was a father figure to many, there to help in anyway he could, a man of his word. His greatest gift in life was his grandchildren.
He was honorable discharged from the US Army and worked in construction for most of his life.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by a daughter Jessica and a brother.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2pm until 4pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Funeral services will follow at 4pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Lantz officiating and Military Honors accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
