Consetta "Connie" (Mennetti) Shaffer

Consetta Mae “Connie” Shaffer, age 87, of Fourth Street, DuBois, PA, died at home on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  A daughter of the late Frank and Agatha (Igielski) Mennetti, she was born on March 28, 1936 in Punxsutawney, PA. On September 1, 1956 she married Robert Carl “Bob” Shaffer, who predeceased her on September 22, 2023

Besides her parents and her husband, Connie was preceded in death by: a daughter, Monica Lynn Carlins; two sisters, Beatrice Beatty and Anna Milliron; and a brother, Frank Mennetti, Jr.

Connie is survived by: two children, Brenda Marie Shaffer of Jeannette, PA and Bobbi (John) Ingram of Amarillo, TX; one grandchild, Genavieve Carlins; one great-grandchild, Nicolas Garcia Carlins; and two brothers, Joseph Mennetti of Columbus, PA and John Mennetti of Rossiter, PA.

Connie graduated from Punxsutawney High School; worked as a Florist for many years and was Owner/Operator of the Flower Center in the DuBois Mall.  She enjoyed flowers, crafts and art; had a very “Green Thumb”; and enjoyed traveling and the outdoors.

Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois, PA.

Funeral Services will be held, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Funeral Home, with Reverend Phil Colgan.

Interment will take place next to her husband in the Adrian-Anita Cemetery, Punxsutawney, PA
