Dawn Rae Burnside

Dawn Rae Burnside, 63, of Rockton PA, passed away Saturday, February 08, 2025 at her home. She was born April 16, 1961 in Kane PA. She was the daughter of the late John Ward and Lael Gretchen “Wolfe” Ward.

She had worked for the US Postal Service for 35 years, most recent of which was spent in Kersey as Post Master. Dawn enjoyed spending all her free time with her grandkids and family. She always looked forward to hosting the family Christmas party each year.

Dawn leaves behind two sons, Shawn (Elizabeth) Burnside of Reynoldsville and Kyle Burnside of Rockton. In addition to her boys, she is survived by her grandbabies, Ellie & Charlee Burnside.

In addition to her mother & father, she is also preceded in death by her sister Jeni Slack.
