Dennis M. Smyers

Dennis M. Smyers, 65, of Soldier, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Conemaugh Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born November 9, 1955 in DuBois, the son of the late Frank L. & Helen L. (Sostakowski) Smyers.

Dennis is a graduate of DuBois Central Catholic. After High School, he worked as a truck driver, foundry and construction worker for many years. He enjoyed reading, especially on the history of American wars and the military. He loved animals, nature and repairing guns for his family and friends.

He was Catholic by faith.

Dennis leaves behind a sister Therese Smyers of Soldier, two brothers Larry (Monica) Smyers of DuBois and Richard (Bonnie) Smyers of Reynoldsville and two nieces and one nephew.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers in infancy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
