Dolores Irene (Akenbak) Lewis

            Dolores Irene Lewis, 71, DuBois, passed away January 22, 2016 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born August 5, 1944 in DuBois, PA, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Pernesky) Akenbak.

            Dolores is survived by a special friend of 40yrs: Ron McElhinny, two sons: Richard Lewis of DuBois and Aaron Lewis of Pottstown, one sister: Helen (Duane “Skip”) Zimmerman of DuBois; four grandchildren: Hylan, Ryan, Zachary and Sophia and three great grandchildren: Trey, Tanner and Eva Grace.

            Dolores worked at Jackson China, Zayer Dept. Store, Murphy’s, and Montgomery Wards specializing in sporting goods and electronics.

            Dolores loved horse racing and rescuing animals.

            Friends will be received on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 1-3pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will be held on Saturday at 3pm at the funeral home.
