Donald Theodore ("Teddy") Johnson

            Donald Theodore “Teddy” Johnson, 82, formerly of Chestnut Ave, passed away Sunday, November 20th at Christ the King Manor. He was born December 28, 1933 in Bradford, PA; son of the late Erniest & Ellen (Pittsley) Johnson. He is also preceded by his Foster parents William & Jenny (Christian) Ditch.

            Ted was married to Minnie “Irene” (Shaffer) Johnson for 55 years, whom survives in DuBois. Ted is also survived by three children Barry (Toni Lynn) Kaplan of New Hampshire, Daniel (Beth Ann) Shephard of DuBois and John (Deneen) Johnson of DuBois, step-sister Nancy Prentice of New Hampshire and step-brother Richard “Dick” (Gabrial) Brobst of Irwin, PA, and four grandchildren Beau, Zachary, Jacob and MacKenzie.

             Ted graduated from DAHS in 1951. He was working at a Steel Mill in Aliquippa, PA from 1952 until 1955 when he left for two years to serve in the US Army and then returned back to the Steel Mill in 1957 until retirement.

             Ted attended Christ Lutheran Church.

             Ted enjoyed playing Baseball for many years. He umpired numerous games from 1982-1989 for the Senior Little League. He also enjoyed his time at the YMCA, gardening, & flowers. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.

             There will be no public visitation. Ted will be buried in Morningside Cemetery.
