Doris I. (Gelnett) Kirk

Doris I. Kirk, 81, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois. She was born October 4, 1942, in DuBois. The daughter of the late George & Anna Marie (Salada) Gelnett. She married Joseph Kirk, he preceded her in death in 2000.

Doris leaves behind a son Scott Kirk, two brothers, Perry (Darla) Gelnett and Cecil Gelnett all of DuBois, three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  

Doris is a graduate of DuBois Area High School. She worked as a waitress for many years and had worked at the DuBois Hospital as a dietician. She enjoyed gardening, flower beds, her camp in Sinnemahoning and loved spending time with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris is also preceded in death by a son David and a brother George jr.
