Dorothy M. (Smith) Wilson

Dorothy M. (Smith) Wilson, age 92, formerly of Wasson Avenue, DuBois, PA, died Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Christ the King Manor of DuBois.  A daughter of the late George R. and Rebecca D. (Silvis) Smith, she was born on November 16, 1931 in Penfield, PA.  On January 15, 1960 she married John R. “Rub” Wilson, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2000.

Dorothy is survived by: two children, Patrick R. Wilson of DuBois and Father David J. Wilson of Johnsonburg; one granddaughter, Nicole (Jimmy) Hoover; three great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Camilla and Savannah; two brothers, Ernest and Edward Smith; and a sister, Anna Volpe.

Along with her parents and her husband, Dorothy was predeceased by: two brothers, Donald and James Smith; and two sisters, Twila Anderson and Alma “Jean” Rowland.

Dorothy was born and raised in Penfield and has been a resident of DuBois since 1960.  She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church of DuBois, PA.
