Ella Mae (Kerr) Daugherty

Ella Mae Daugherty, 77, of Sykesville formerly of Vandergrift passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born November 20, 1943 in Apollo the daughter of the late John & Ruth (Hansen) Kerr. She married Frank W. Daugherty on August 19, 1960, he survives in Sykesville.

She was a LPN for most of her life. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed canning and cooking.

In addition to husband, Ella also leaves behind five children Tammy Ball, Brenda Pettit, Deborah Powell, Kimberly Parkin and William Daugherty, three sisters Beatrice Barber, Jane Burns and Janet Montano, a brother Kenneth Kerr, nine grandchildren Jennifer (Ball) Rogers, Billie Jo Ball, Miranda (Mutimer) Troyer, Anna Mutimer, Aaron Mutimer, Alex Kiro, Stephanie (Powell) Redovan, Jason Lorent and Jeffrey Lorent, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Donnie and Larry Kerr.

Private services will be held at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville with Rev. Drew Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
