Esther A. (Herbert) Kelege

Esther A. Kelege, 89, DuBois, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Penn Highlands – DuBois after a short illness. She was born November 10, 1926 in East Liverpool, OH; daughter of the late Lester “Lefty” & Irene (Skelton) Herbert. She was married to Peter Kelege, he preceded her in death in 1977.

Esther was a graduate of Falls Creek High School; she was a major in Civil Air Patrol. She was a secretary at DRMC Hospital for many years. She has lived most of her life in the DuBois area.

Esther is survived by her son David M. (Sherry) Kelege of DuBois, six grandchildren: David Kelege and wife Erika, Elise Standley & husband David, Jim Kelege, Jamie Kelege & husband Alvin, Pete Kelege and Toni Kelege, six great grandchildren: Page, Hayden, Ethan, Samantha, Ayvin Kelege and Kadin Martin Danch.

Esther was also preceded in death by two sons: James and Pete & one sister: Phillis Heffner.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 4pm – 6pm at West Liberty Baptist Church in DuBois. A memorial service will follow at 6pm at the Church with Pastor Phillip Colgan officiating.
