Hollie D. Lewis

Hollie D. Lewis, 79, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1943 in Kincaid, W.V. He is a son of the late Elijah & Eva (White) Lewis. He married Shelia (Drake) Lewis on December 28, 1966, she survives in DuBois.

Hollie leaves behind his wife Shelia Lewis of DuBois, two children Lisa (Joe) Smith of Hazen and Eric Lewis of Huntington, WV, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters Dreama Bragg of WV  and Sue Jordan of PA.      

Hollie joined the US Army in 1964 and had served during the Vietnam Era. He eventually retired from the US Army in 1985 and became a mail carrier for over 15 years.

He was one of thirteen children and he was the seventh son of the seventh son.

In addition to his parents, Hollie is also preceded in death by two daughters Holly Wray and Theresa Lewis.

Friends will be received on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 11am until 1pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow on Monday at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. David Nagle officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
