Homer L. Vance, 88, Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, at Mulberry Square Elder Care in Punxy after a lengthy illness. He was born January 28, 1930, in Rochester, a son of the late Homer Clenden & Eva (Reader) Vance.
Homer was a “1949” graduate of Falls Creek High School. After graduation he joined the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Homer was a Truck Driver for most of his life until retirement.
He is survived by three children, Toni Ann Knouse of DuBois, Donna Lynn Vance of DuBois and Timothy L. (Georgia) Vance of New Castle, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Homer spent most of his life in DuBois, Phillipsburg, and Clearfield Areas. He enjoyed sports and socializing.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Flanders and Harriet Weber.
No visitation will be held. He will be buried in the National Cemetery in Pittsburgh at a later date.
