James I. Horne, 72 of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois. He was born October 29, 1946 in Wilson, NY., the son of the late James F. & Esther (Jury) Horne.
In addition to his wife Cindy Kay (Gregory) Horne, James is also survived by two sons James R. Horne of Knoxville, TN and Isaac “Ike” (Traci) Horne of Des Moines, IA, a sister Alice Courson of Buffalo, a brother Raymond (Jean) Horne of Falls Creek, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
James attended DuBois Area Schools. Over his many years of working as a heavy equipment operator and a driller foreman, some came to know him as a workaholic. James was also a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and uncle. He was also a member of the Rathmel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, James is also preceded in death by a daughter Sandy Marie Rossi, five sisters Mary Kessler, Joyce Melinda Duttry, Rachel Shaffer, Virginia Keagle and Hazel Walk.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 4-7pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow on Friday at 7pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Eddy officiating. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Luthersburg.
