Joan Mae (Airgood) Shick

Joan Mae Shick, 88, DuBois, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Christ the King Manor. She was born July 13 ,1936 in Big Run; a daughter of the late Nathanal & Minnie (Smith) Airgood. She had married Robert Lee Shick who survives in DuBois.

Joan was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School class of 1957. She was Co-Owner of the former Christy’s Bar & Grill in Sykesville. She enjoyed Golfing and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Joan also leaves behind three children, Melanie (David) Purerner of Amhurst, NY, Kent Shick of DuBois and Dean (Ruth) Shick of Anita, three sisters, Shirley (James) Crasmun of SC, Carol (Edmond) Allen of AZ and Betty (Joseph) Hawk of AZ, two brothers, Donald Airgood of DuBois and Gary (Patti) Airgood of Cincinnati, OH, and five grandchildren.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Randal Airgood.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
