Joseph P. Golanka

            Joseph P. Golanka, 56, DuBois, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 18, 2016 at his residence.

            He was born March 17, 1959 in DuBois, PA; son of the late Edward G. and Anna Victoria (Wojtaszek) Golanka.

            Joseph married Michele (McFall) Golanka on April 15, 2000. She survives in DuBois. Joseph is also survived by his brother Edward J. (Sharon) Golanka of Coal Center, PA.

            Joseph was a graduate of Jefferson County Vocational School. He attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church of DuBois. Joseph enjoyed riding motorcycles and other outdoor activities.

            Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm and Friday, January 22, 2016 from 8:30am until 9:30am at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in DuBois with Father Dan Kresinski as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

            Family suggests memorials to Gateway Humane Society.
