Kathryn I (Deemer) Frisbie

            Kathryn I. Frisbie, 88, DuBois, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a short illness.

            She was born January 29, 1928 in Hormtown. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (Hetrick) Deemer. She was married to James Paul Frisbie for 61yrs. He preceded her in death in 2009. Kathryn was also preceded in death by nine siblings. She was the last survivor of her family.           

            She is survived by her three daughters: Mrs. Dennis (Sherry) Nelson of DuBois, PA, Mrs. Karl (Debbie) Geist of Hollywood, MD and Mrs. Dan (Lorrie) Lavinder of Columbia, PA, eight grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren.

            She worked for McCrory’s 5&10 in DuBois for years. She was a past member of Trinity Lutheran and a present member of Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois.           

            Private services were held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Burial took place in Morningside Cemetery beside her husband.

            Family suggest memorials to either Christ Luther Church on Sunflower Dr. DuBois, PA of Gateway Humane Society of Falls Creek, PA.
