Kathryn E. “Kay” Miksich, 100, DuBois, passed away, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Christ the King Manor. She was born April 21, 1923 in Cascade Village; a daughter of the late Marko & Barbara (Stanich) Miksich.
She attended Sykesville High School and had worked at Rockwell International until retirement. She was a member of the ABVM Rosary Society and the Croation Fraternal Union Lodge#354. Kathryn enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, yard work, doing crafts and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Kathryn leaves behind a very special niece Barbara Skubisz, along with five generations of nieces & nephews. Kathryn was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Ann Miksich and three brothers, Steve, Michael, and Ivan Miksich.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the outstanding care given to Kathryn over her 10 year stay at Christ the King Manor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10am until 11am at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sykesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at the Church with Father Matias Quimnoas Celebrant. Burial will follow in ABVM Cemetery in Sykesville.
