Michael Joseph Banks

Michael Joseph Banks, 68, of Stump Creek, formerly of Emporium, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Penn Highlands in DuBois. He was born July 6, 1957 in Long Island, NY; a son of the late John L. Banks, Sr & Joyce Arlene (Kruger) Banks Mackie.

Michael leaves behind his significant other Andrea Lynn Santos, three sons Jeremei Banks of Warren, Joshua Banks of Pittsburg and Shawn Banks of Stump Creek, two step children Paulo and John Santos both of Stump Creek, four grandchildren, his siblings John, jr. (Marsha) Banks of Austin, Martin (Tina) Banks of Emporium, Christine (Scott Mullin) Banks of McKeesport, Timmy (Juventino) Banks of Texas, Mary Smith of Brockway, James Mackie of Summerville, Peter Mackie ,jr of Kersey, Marvin (Nancy) Mackie of Emporium, Dawn Mancuso of Leechburg and Jody (Alaric) Allen of DuBois and many nieces and nephews.

He had previously worked for Kurt Johnson Motors, Kutsels and the Hitching Post. He enjoyed fires, building cars, detailing, Dj magic Mike and drinking his beer.

In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by a brother Robert and a sister Diana.
