Mildred "Miggs" (Neiswonger) Frantz

Mildred “Miggs” Frantz, 89, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was born February 24, 1936 in DuBois to the late Lloyd & Mabel (Foust) Neiswonger. She married Henry Frantz on May 2nd, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Miggs leaves behind two sons, Jay Frantz of DuBois and Terry (Tami) Frantz of Luthersburg, ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Mildred enjoyed spending time with family, playing poker and hosting parties. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed winning lots of money. She loved music and dancing.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was also preceded in death by one daughter Patricia Frantz and two sons Lloyd and Rick Frantz.

She was a member at the Troutville Trinity Church and later became a member of West Liberty Baptist Church.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm and on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10am until 11am at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville. Services will follow on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Colgan officiating. Burial will take place in Troutville Trinity United Church Cemetery.
