Nancy J. (Pierce) Smock

Nancy J. Smock, 91, Falls Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at her residence. She was born January 27, 1934 in DuBois; a daughter of the late Farley & Lydia (Miller) Pierce. She married Frank Smock who preceded her in death in 1959.

Nancy is survived by four children: Frannie Smock of Grampian, Cleora (Alan) McConnell of Brockway, Virginia Smock of Grampian, and Paula Smock of Reynoldsville, two sisters: Mildred Starr of Grampian and Jessie Ward of Falls Creek, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

After graduating high school in 1953, Nancy had worked at Brockway Glass for a few years before starting her family and becoming a stay-at-home mother and homemaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was also preceded in death by two sisters: Linda Catherine Nichols and Mabel Logan and two brothers Arther & Floyd Pierce.

A Private Burial was held on Tuesday at Beechwoods Cemetery with her husband. Arrangements were under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois. Online condolences can be made at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com .
