Robert Carl "Bob" Shaffer

Robert “Bob” Carl Shaffer, 90, DuBois, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at his residence. He was born May 16, 1933, in Brookville, PA, a son of the late John Fred & Hazel Mae (Boozer) Shaffer. He married Consetta Mae “Connie” (Mennetti) Shaffer on September 01, 1956, she survives in DuBois.

In addition to his wife, Bob also leaves behind two daughters, Brenda Marie Shaffer of Jeannette, PA and Bobbi (John) Ingram, Amarillo, TX, a brother Walter David Shaffer of Falconer, NY, a granddaughter Genavieve Carlins and a great-grandson, Nicolas Garcia-Carlins.

Bob attended Brookville school district; He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hormtown Rifle and Pistol Club and the US Practical Shooting Association where he was also a Range Officer. He enjoyed carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and working on cars and he loved going to their camp along the Clarion River.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Monica Lynn Carlins, two brothers, Charles “Bud” Shaffer, and John Shaffer and two sisters Dorothy VanDale and Phyllis Shaffer.

Friends and family are welcome on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 11am until 1pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Colgan officiating. Burial will take place in Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery in Punxsutawney. Online condolences can be made at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhome.com.
