Robert Lee Shick

Robert Lee Shick, 90, DuBois, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Penn Highlands in DuBois. He was born July 21, 1934 in Templeton, PA, the son of the late Kenneth & Mabel Ruth (Wiant) Shick. He married Joan Mae (Airgood) Shick, she preceded him in death in July 2024.

Robert was a 1952 graduate of Red Bank Valley High School and a graduate of Penn State DuBois with an associate Degree in Electric Engineering. He and his wife were co-owners of Christy’s Place in Sykesville where he had worked for 10years before returning to Federal Aviation Administration as a Technician before retiring. He was in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf.

Robert is survived by a daughter Melanie (David) Puerner, Amhurst, NY, two sons Kent (Liz Kammerdiener) Shick, DuBois, and Dean (Ruth) Shick, Anita, a sister Delores Schill, Lucinda, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was also preceded in death by two brothers Chauncey and Kenneth.
