Shawn Newpher

Shawn Lee Newpher, 32, Reynoldsville, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 after a 3-year battle with cancer. Born January 19, 1993, in Clearfield; he was the son of Louis E. Newpher of Reynoldsville and Mellissa (Aughenbaugh) Corp of Pittsburgh.

He was a 2011 graduate of DuBois Area High School and a 2015 graduate of IUP. While in High School he enjoyed football, track and was on the Honor Society. Shwan was a member of the National Guard and had worked as a manager at Wal-Mart in St. Mary’s. He loved having a good time with his friends.

Shawn leaves behind his mother Melissa (Aughenbaugh) Corp of Pittsburgh his father and step-mother Louis E. (Patty Ann) Newpher of Reynoldsville, brother Dustin Newpher and Fiancée Emma Thompson of Sykesville, step-brother Cameron Minns of Falls Creek, step-sister Cori Minns of Reynoldsville, step-niece Cheyanne Miller of Reynoldsville, step-nephew Riley Shaffer of Smithtown, grandmothers Herta Newpher of Stronach, Pa and Helen Aughenbaugh of Glenn Richey, PA.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Delmont Newpher and Raymond Aughenbaugh.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 2pm until 4pm at the VFW in DuBois. Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois.
