Starley Marie (Frye) Smiley

Starley Marie Smiley, passed away in the comfort of her home on July 5, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Starley Marie Smiley, born Starley Marie Frye, was born on January 23, 1955, in North Tonawanda, New York, to the late Josephine (Strano) Turner and the late Wesley W. Frye, Jr. In 1975, Starley married Robert “Bobby” Smiley of Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. While their journey together included time apart, love brought them back to one another. They spent the last 21 years together, sharing life’s everyday moments, making lasting memories with grandchildren, and supporting each other in sickness and in health. Mom was the heart of our family. She loved her children deeply, and was always willing to give anything she had to anyone in need. She is survived by her sons, Christopher James Smiley (Stacey) and Matheu Robert Smiley (Alana), both from Falls Creek, PA. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved being a grandmother to Samantha, Breanna, Sydnee, and Parker Smiley, and Aniela and Aiden Cortina.
She is also survived by her siblings, Linda (Gary) Kasprzak, Tammy (Joseph) Missert both of New York, and Danny Frye of Florida, along with many of her beloved Strano and Frye family members.
Our mom was a hard worker and worked many different jobs over the years including Rolla Jensen, DuBois Regional Medical Center in the Mental Health Department, and Glenn O. Hawbaker.
Our mom will be remembered for loving fiercely, speaking honestly, and standing strong for those she cared about.
There will be no public visitation.
