Thomas John Boboige, 75, Reynoldsville, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Penn Highlands in DuBois. He was born January 11, 1946, in DuBois; the son of the late Joseph & Stella (Zavatsky) Boboige. On May 20, 1967, he married Helen (McMinn) Boboige, who survives in Reynoldsville.
In addition to his wife, Thomas also leaves behind five children, Jon Boboige of Brockway, David (Rita) Boboige of DuBois, Christine (William) Witherow of Reynoldsville, Beth (Michael) Troupe of Brockway and Teresa Boboige of Reynoldsville, a sister Marian Hoover of DuBois, Two brothers Frank (Judy) Boboige of Punxsutawney and Deacon Paul Boboige of Falls Creek, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Thomas is a graduate of Sykesville HS. He had served in the US Army with the rank of SP5 and he retired from UPS after 31years. He was an active member of Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in DuBois where he was also a cantor for the church since 1975. He was a member of Nativity Ushers Club & Bingo and he was a life member of the Greek Catholic Union.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald, a brother Ronald and a sister Eileen Annarino.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Sykesville. Online condolences can be made at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of Sykesville.
